Want a big gaping peehole like mine? I want that for you too.

I’ve done a lot of urethral stretching, and I’ve also been lucky enough to stretch a few other people’s peeholes! The thoughts in this post come primarily from my own experiences, seasoned with what I’ve heard from others. Like I keep saying, I’m not a medical professional, even if I might enjoy pretending in the bedroom!
I’ve written before about how to get started in sounding for AFAB people, and I also have a post about troubleshooting if you think something may have gone wrong when sounding. There’s plenty of information in both of those posts about urethral sounding in general, but I think it’s time to dive into stretching in particular! How do you reach larger and larger sizes, and how do you make sure the changes in your peehole last?
toys to start your stretching
I still recommend a set of Hegar sounds, like this one, for most people starting out. No, they won’t be able to reach your bladder if you have a penis, but I don’t personally think that’s necessarily a problem. (See my notes on depth, below, for more on that.)
While I think that a set of Hegars is the simplest and most straightforward approach, you might want to check out other shapes just for the sensations they can bring. If sounding isn’t exciting, you probably won’t do it often enough to cause real change in your urethra!
Penis plugs can be a fun way to maintain a stretch over a few hours, as you go about your day. Once you’ve become familiar with your set of Hegars, you’ll know what size penis plug to look for, so I do recommend that it be a secondary purchase.
advanced urethral stretching toys
I like a lot of toys that weren’t intended for my peehole- I have a whole blog post about favorite toys I use in my gaping urethra! That post also goes over my criteria for sounding toys, from the shape to the materials.
One company that creates toys with urethral stretching in mind is SiliconeNozzles. I appreciate that they carefully label each one with the diameters, so that you can find something that’s the right level of ambitious for you! Once you outgrow the SiliconeNozzles toys made for urethras, you can also check out the “petite enema nozzles” which you can order with or without a hole through the middle.
Another fun option is a Killian nasal speculum, which you can typically find cheaply on Ebay. I’ll admit, though, I think the nasal speculum is less for actually making progress on your stretching and more for admiring the progress you’ve made.
how deep do you want to go?
If you’re AFAB (assigned female at birth), you almost certainly have a short urethra, only about an inch and a half (4cm) from the opening, or meatus, to the bladder. Because it’s so short, you’ll likely choose to stretch the entire length of it, including the bladder sphincter. Stretching the bladder sphincter probably increases your risk of urinary incontinence, but that isn’t something that happens to everyone- I haven’t had problems with it, and neither have the other people I’ve asked who have stretched short urethras.
Other people with short urethras include trans women who have undergone vaginoplasty and people who have had genital nullification. Your experience with urethral stretching may be somewhat different if you have a prostate; my suspicion is that it would constrain stretching to some degree. I’d love to have more information about this, so please do drop me a line or leave a comment if you’re willing to share!
If you’re AMAB (assigned male at birth) and have a penis, your urethra is longer, about 8 inches though it varies quite a bit. It also has a distinct curve before reaching the bladder. While sounding can be great for prostate stimulation, many people who do urethral stretching choose not to stretch the whole length of their urethra. Instead, they stretch only up to the bend. This makes toy selection easier, and also reduces the risk of UTIs and incontinence.

how often to stretch your peehole
I currently stretch at least three times a week- I have a Fansly tier that keeps me on track, because I send them three video updates each week! (That’s the “stretch my peehole even more” tier- not very mysterious, right?)
In general, I recommend taking at least one rest day after every stretching day, and resting longer if you have any lingering soreness or irritation. Stretching your peehole two or three times a week should be enough to make progress. Remember, injuries caused by getting too eager will slow down your progress, not speed it up!
when to reach for a larger toy
I’ve gotten this question before, and I do understand how appealing it would be to get a specific answer, something like “use a toy for three weeks and then move up a size.” The trouble is, not only are our bodies all different, but also, your stretching speed will be vastly different at different sizes! Instead of offering any estimate of how long it will take to be ready for the next size, what I want to emphasize is that urethral stretching will challenge you to listen closely to your body. When one sound starts to feel easy, it’s probably time to try the next size up.
Urethras are sensitive to differences in diameter that other holes wouldn’t even notice, so a millimeter is a good amount of change, and if you can find a set of sounds with half millimeter gradations, that’s even better!
safety & cleanliness
Keeping things clean is crucial for safe urethral sounding. I have another blog post where I talk in more depth about options for cleaning toys and share the details of what I do myself. As you’ll see there, I think there’s a lot to consider about how careful you want to be. If you don’t want to have to think about it that hard, I’d recommend boiling- but this does require you to only buy metal and silicone toys!
You’ll also need lube. I recommend water-based lube, so that piss can rinse it away thoroughly, and I think sterile lube is an even better idea. You can find more lube thoughts at the end of my post about troubleshooting.
is this permanent?
Well, yes and no.
Yes – past a certain size, it’s probable that your peehole will never be the same. I certainly don’t think mine will ever be “normal” again!
No – if you stop stretching, it won’t stay exactly like you left it. If you take a few months off from sounding and then return to it, you’ll probably have to drop down a few sizes and work your way back up.
show off that tiny gape!

If you’d like to show me personally, join my Fansly and send me a note! I’m delighted when I get to see that I’ve had an influence on a hole.
